• Message reply format - Co

From Mewcenary@VERT/EXTRICAT to All on Sun Feb 6 08:48:00 2022
    Hi all,

I'm wondering if it is possible to configure the format of messages when replying?

Explicitly, to allow a quoting style like this:

"On xxx, user yyy wrote this:"

It seems that Synchronet has a hard-coded style for this, but I would be very happy to be proven wrong!

    Thanks all.

Synchronet itself doesn't hard-code the quote format. It depends largely on the message editor your use. There seems to be a convention that quoted lines start with a '>' (or, with a small part of the author's handle before a '>'). Some do it a bit differently though.

With you on that. Here's the bit that I can't seem to configure (And you handily provided it in your reply...)

This is the part I'd be curious to change. It seems to fall outside of the Editor that is chosen.

What is it that you want to change? Do you want to change the quote prefix on those lines, or change the fact that those lines are provided in the first place?
