    Hi all!

I started playing with makenl to make the nodelist.
    Maybe I'm doing something wrong

I have added these options in the makenl.ctl

    submit 4: 902/26
    netaddress 4: 902/26
    messages /sbbs/fido/netmail

When I run makenl, the 1.msg, 2.msg etc. files are generated in the
netmail directory, but these files are always there.

It seems that sbbs / sbbsecho ignores them for some reason that I do not
    know

    root@scarlet:/sbbs/fido/netmail# fmsgdump -ctrl -body 1.msg
fmsgdump rev 3.6 - Dump FidoNet Stored Messages

    Opening 1.msg
    Subj: /sbbs/fido/makenl/master/reg.902
Attr: 0x0191 (PRIVATE, FILE, KILLSENT, LOCAL)
    To: Coordinator (4: 902 / 26.0)
    From: MakeNL 3.5.1 (4: 902 / 26.0)
    Time: 11 Apr 21 00:03:54

    -start of message text-
    @MSGID: 4: 902/26 60723b7e
    -end of message text-

Will someone using makeNL share their configuration?

Is there a space in there for some reason?

    My makenl.ctl has this..

    SUBMIT 1:17/0 INTL CRASH
    NetAddress 1:153/0
    MESSAGES /usr/local/fido/msgbase/netmail

I am using hpt to toss those messages and it never has any trouble. Maybe try..

    submit 4:902/26 INTL CRASH ?

Shouldn't the submit and net address be different?

The to and from addresses are the same. Is that your own node?

You don't need a mailer/tosser for that mail.. you need a printer!

yes, but a want to test without send message to another external node
    (RC, ZC, etc)

I wanted to try to send the notifications to my node to see if
everything was ok, but it seems that it cannot be

Anyway I am left with the question of why not those .msg remain in *
netmail * and they do not come out or are rejected

yes, but a want to test without send message to another external node (RC, ZC, etc)

You could inspect those *.msg files with fmsgdump.

I wanted to try to send the notifications to my node to see if
everything was ok, but it seems that it cannot be

You could also put those *.msg files in your inbound. I'm not sure if sbbsecho will import them or not.

Anyway I am left with the question of why not those .msg remain in * netmail * and they do not come out or are rejected

There isn't much for sbbsecho to do in that case.

    One last suggestion.. :)

Add a linked node to your sbbsecho.ini and submit to that node, just make up a node. sbbsecho will scan those *.msg files then and put them in the outbound although there is nowhere for them to go.
