• HP t5740e Thin Client pro

    Bought a hp t5740e thin client off ebay for $13.50
    Added a 500 GB HD $50
    Bought a SATA 90 connector $5
    Bought a male to female Sata cable $5
    Bought a Vesa mount and mounted it to back of monitor $8
    $81.50 total just installed Windows embedded 7 32 bit
    Walla My new BBS machine for under $100
    and it was a fun little project.

    Actually on the HD it was just a spare I had lying around I just gave it a value of $50

    this isn't to bad for $13.50 it has an atom 1.66ghz proc 4GB ram
    I might just slap windows pro on it.

    The reason I like using thin Client PC's is because low power consumption 12-18 watts.
    and they are quiet, no fans.
    and its fits on the back of my monitor with a vesa mount.
    and they run for months with no problems, I also have mine setup to restart my BBS after a power failure.
    perfect for my BBS needs :)
