hello! i am new to BBSs and i was wondering how many of you use an old mach to view these (if so, how old?). i am using a 386 from 1992!

Hi Alin!

I am running mine and connect to others using modern machines. I wish I could get my hands on a 386 and go really old school!

386 computers suck. you can get them on ebay. they are 'retro gaming computers'.

i dont want to go back to those days. i'm fine with a computer that
works.

Some of us are just retro *people*... we don't need old computers to make us feel old and live in the past :) I agree, nice to have a computer that works.

when i was a kid it was my dream to have a whole room of computers on tables. now when i'm older i know that having all that junk around just takes up space.

So true. I had a huge collection of vintage hardware when I ran the store, people would give me tandy's, commodore's, adams etc. I've since given them all away.

One desktop and one laptop for me now. The laptop is used during the summer.
