I agree.

However, it is hard not to take this sort of work personally since it usualy takes a lot of emotional investment. It is like when somebody tells you that a painting you have been working on for months is crap. When you pour so much effort into something you start feeling like it is part of you; when somebody trashes it it feels like they are trashing you.

However, it is hard not to take this sort of work personally since it usualy takes a lot of emotional investment. whats much worse is what happened to the kid that played anakin.
he was bullied and harassed by other children and the press and that affected him. he now has paranoid schizophrenia and lives with his family.
i'm not sure how much that stuff played into it, but it didnt help.

That happens more than one would think.
Herve Villachez and Vern Trenor both committed suicide if I remember, hating being typecast.

Others have been so successful in their roles, they've received hate mail, death threats, and let's not forget Jodie Foster's stalker.

That's the double-edged sword- you do so well, that's all youre known for.

I remember the big story about the original star wars movie was they hired a "midget" to operate R2D2.

I was 7 yrs old and even then i thought "geez that must be a tough gig for an actor.".

Imagine calling your agent...

"Hello, just checking. Any new roles come in for a guy that can fit in a can? Is that sesame street movie gonna happen and did they find a guy to play oscar yet?"

Yeah and that's how you end up with young actors like Macully Culkin palling around with people like Michael Jackson.

With social media today its gotta be VERY tough on people let alone young actors... Getting hit left/right/center with everything imaginable good bad or otherwise.

well when you are in the public eye you have to deal with the crazies.
i dont know why anybody would even care enough to look up who wore the motion capture gear in the movie and harass the guy.
he also claimed racism. maybe he did those intervies so he could get back into the public eye. also some outlets pay people for interviews.

it is hard to say but that's a good point, michaels childhood was very different yet very similar on many levels. throw cory feldman in to and you can see how that could make sense.

parents in all these cases are the likely cause for the majority of the problems with all 3 of them.

Exploiting them
cashing in on them
allowing them to do stupid sh*t unsupervised a normal parent would never let their children do.

I thought Suicide Squad was pretty good. Margot Robbie was my favourite actress in it. Will Smith didn't seem like he was that thrilled to do the movie therefore he won't be in the sequel.
