It wasn't that great to me. Not a Rhianna fan. She may have a
couple of tunes that might have some cool musical treatment.
But otherwise she's not really a too extraordinary singer at
all, to me. Her voice comes across a bit too whiney. However,
she does have the looks to be appealing to watch.

The staging mechanics of the multiple floating and changing
platforms was very interesting though. Some of these halftime
shows always seem to be extraordinary productions for just a
    mere 14 minute show.

i just put the creed halftime show on for 2 hrs and turned on a blowerfan and lipsync'd along and pointed at my imaginary fans in the imaginary crowd.

What happened to people that could actually sing and play instruments? The halftime show was basically TL;DW.

When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's, on Saturday mornings ABC would end
thier cartoon block by showing American Bandstand. Each week they woud have
a live guest appear, however it was clear they were lip syncing (no cords on guitars.) On youtube I catch old "live" performances from other shows, and even ran into some performances where the singer is live, but the backing trac k was taped. An example was the Byrds playing on a variety show, and it
sounds like it was a drag in the tape when the show was recorded, but you
could hear David Crosby attempt to adjust for the audio hiccup. The only reason I could imagine them doing a partially taped show is because Roger McGuinn's guitar sound was heavily processed by 1960's standards, and it was probably recorded in a studio where the compressor and other gear was set up.

20 years ago there was a band named Silverchair, and their vocals on the
first album were heavily processed. The singer was 17, and that voice
    couldn't have come from him.

When the second album came out they must've gotten flak because the singer didn't sound the same. His real voice was less full, but sounded good for their style of music.

yeah i liked silverchair. engineers fuck around with the sound with all the songs, they have been doing it forever.

I never heard about a controversy about the singer's singing. I pulled up a live video of them playing live. I'm not sure what the date is but their live sound is pretty legit.

it's not like britney spears where they are totally tone deaf. i've heard recordings where people jacked into the concert and pulled her audio out separately and it sounds like a child singing out of key.

I have lost track of him. First, he wass was on 105.9 Chicago and picked on the guys at 101.1. Hi scontract was dropped and he moved over to 101.1. During htat period he was syndicated across the country, and had a morning sho .w on WPWR. He fell off the radar, then I heard he was still doing the syndic ated show from WLS. He then became a WLS regular, then I heard he was on the Loop. He used to pick and tease about the dj's atthe Loop beforehand.
During the WLS period he had the reality show with his brother that sold
cars. He was interesting for awhile, then his show became much shorter in format because there was just as much advertising, if not more than there was
content. I haven't heard anything about him since 2019.

McCartney's lawyers, not the FCC. Nothing indecent about it. My understanding is this is based on a civil case. Her vocals all by themself were god awful, and the lawyers threatened legal action if this recording was ever replayed in that fashion.
