    Hello Plt,

Can someone please explain while trying to download files using
firefox on my bbs is not work but it fine on msbgtn01.synchro.net
using the same web browser and he is running 3.10?

Modern web browsers no longer work with ftp sites. On my own slackware-current install clicking an ftp:// link does nothing.

I had a quick run on debian testing a short time ago and ftp links still work as always there so I think debian users who upgrade to the next stable release of debian (due any time now) will still be able to use ftp in their browser although it will stop working their also at some point.

The website you mentioned is using ecweb, files are served with http:// links. That will continue to work just fine.

I had to install FileZilla to do any FTP stuff, even with Vertrauen.

    You too eh!? :)

I really liked to be able to grab files with a web browser but time marches on.
