    Okay guys,

Here's a little video showing an ANSi sprite walking in front of a continuously-wrapping, parallax- scrolling background.

Nice work - that's pretty cool. Would be interested to see how you implemented the scrolling/repeating background(s) in the end.

Thanks! I wrote up a blog post today, and included some code snippets at the bottom.

    Thanks, Digital Man!

I can't say enough how cool I find the various JS libraries everybody has developed for Synchronet. Opens so many possibilities.

Excellent. That's about what I had in mind (though yours is probably a bit faster for skipping getData/setData and just operating on the data array.) Well done.

Thanks! I haven't been able to work much on any of my projects since I posted that, but I am hoping to roll out an update for Sports Stats in the next couple weeks.

Yeah I bumped it on like 3 networks. I'll bump it straight from wordpress, too, if that's cool. That's really some beautiful work, man. The next place I'm going after I'm done with shells is to some game work. It really made an impression on me to see that. :)
I wonder if that would've worked over 14.4 back in the day. *grin*

I have tried it on my Atari Mega STe, which uses a Lantronix set for 19.2bps. It's ve-e-e-r-r-r-y slow, Eventually the cache/buffer is overwhelmed and the terminal crashes.

Definitely a technique for high-speed BBSing, not dialup. :)

Oh that's right I saw you mentioned Ataris somewhere on your blog posts, too. I am jealous now. I've wanted an atari 130xe again and an ST or TT/Falcon at some point to play with for so long again, but I haven't had the stability to get it done in forever, nor the space requirements... Something to work for, soon as I've got the packet radio tie-in for my BBS done. :)
I was thinking that'd crash... I wonder if it'd do alright on 33.6 or any of the higher compressions that never seem to actually reach the legit speeds like that on POTS. Anyway, yeah, that's what I expected. Heh. Still, absolutely beautiful. :)
