I know i can place a variable on my asc to show total number of files in the database..
Is it possiblle to have a variable that shows the number of files in the are the user is currently in?

the varible is in one of the newuser logon screens.
and you can also see it in the synch system info area too.
Im after a variable that will show the total number of files in the current area only.

I don't think there is one, I'm afraid. Anyone wanna code up an (a)EXEC solution?
I know the only way i can see how many files are in an area
is to list the areas.. So it is possible somehow..

There is currently no @-code for that (assuming that's what you mean by "variable").
