Hello community,
I've been searching all over the net and I couldn't find the solution to my problem, so here it is, maybe some of you can help me out. I have Toshiba L7 Satellite laptop which served me fine for some time, but I have a strange problem with its speakers turning off all of a sudden. I took laptop to repa they couldn't diagnose any kind of malfunction. I also did try reinstalling drivers, even OS (I am currently using Windows 10 and Ubuntu, and there seem be a problem on both systems).
Do you know what could it be? Any suggestions, even far fetched are fine :)

Most likely a corroded or damaged speaker cable. See http://www.irisvista.com/
tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-L755-L755D-L750-L750D/dismantle-laptop-1.htm for
more info.

One thing that is nicer in more modern forums is the ability to thumbs
up (or similar) to an existing post. Was going to say the same.

You're new to Synchronet message voting I guess? :-)
Currently in thunderbird(nntp), saw the voting module though. Guessing the vote/thumbs up are the empty messages I've been seeing in
Thunderbird now and then.

They should not appear as messages via NNTP. If they are, that would be a bug.I haven't really investigated, just know that occassionally I'm seeing a completely empty message body... It could be a thunderbird bug.

Maybe there could be a message ID that says SBBS VOTE so people do not freak outYou're new to Synchronet message voting I guess? :-)

They shouldn't be getting/seeing the message at all.

Many of us are getting the empty messages.

There were one or two messages with only a tear and origin line in the last day
or so. If that's what you saw, it's not your end. But if there was absolutely
nothing, then I'm not seeing those, and you may have found a bug. :)

Also, not sure about the avatar, which is another thing I'd like to use.

That wouldn't be too hard: NNTP article headers are very extensible. One would
have to update both the server (nntpservice.js) and the various clients (e.g. newslink.js) to support it and then have a good opt-in/out method.
Also, not sure about the avatar, which is another thing I'd like to use.
The avatars themselves are not sent with each message. They're looked-up by user@address of the msg sender. Received via the syncdata echo.

Cool, are vote tallys also in syncdata? Will need to figure out a way
to aggregate this into my front end as well... haven't dug in much yet.
