I think the scenario for me would play out thusly.
1: Buy expensive toy.
2: Buy expensive accesories for toy.
3: Play with toy for a few weeks.
4: Toy collects dust for a while.
5: Toy gets played with for a few weeks.
6: Bored now.
7: Let's glue some Estes rocket engines to the wings and remote ignite them. 8: Expensive bill for breaking someone's windshield as toy spirals out of control at 1000 kmh.

One of the enticements of ham radio is being able to use the RC
aircraft in the 6 meter band. There are quite a few hams locally who do this.
