I voted keyboard, but I actually play the piano. There's a difference :)

At home I have a Yamaha digital piano with fully weighted keys. I'd love to get a real grand one day but don't have the space for one (although the digital one is great because I can put on my headphones and bash out some songs at 1am without waking the neighbours :P).

Choice noted. I know a player (plays with me) that uses a Yamaha keyboard with weighted keys. Can make it sound like anyhting from a piano to a synthesizer. It's a very heavy instrument to load-in but sounds terrific.

I've always wanted to play bass, but my daughter has a Gibson Epiphone

up and see how I do.

I dabbled in college, but I'd originally learned left-handed. Turned

hahah good thing I don't have GAS... I only have 13 of them.
(Unlucky number... I need to get one more.)

I suffer from DAS (Drum Acquisition Symdrome), with a bit of CAS (cymbals) and PAS (percussion) thrown in for good measure. *way* more than 13 drums, I'm ashamed to admit. And yeah, a few guitars, keyboards, amps, mics, etc. too. The ones I've gottenrid of (e.g. am Ampeg SVT), I regret doing so.

GAS can also stand for the more general Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I feel like I've had a bit of that.. I currently have multiple guitars, a synthesizer, and also a Raspberry Pi-based synthesizer module I put together (with the V5 kit) not too long ago.

Recently I heard about a guitar/instrument store in my area closing one of its locations, and they're having a sale there (and whatever they don't sell there by June 15th will be moved to their other locations). I went there yesterday to check it out, and I managed not to buy anything.. I felt like there was nothing that was very different from what I already have.

I get that. I wish I still had my '65 Gibson Melody Maker... the best playing guitar I ever owned (although I do have an Epiphone Les Paul that comes very close to it.)

My wife would like that! And the truth is, since I no longer play in a band anymore, I really should start selling a few of them off. But they are mostly ($$$) American Fenders, a PRS, a G&L ASAT and a few cheap acoustics.

    Ahoi together : )

If I play, my favourite instrument is the piano.
With this it's been years trying to play like my favourite pianist Yuki Kajiura from Japan. (Some might know her unique style..)

To document the development, I've been uploading the latest songs to Youtube.
If you have a minute, I'd like to know what you think, and what could be done better (I suppose a lot oo*).

    https://www.youtube.com/@His_Cifnes/videos

(Or simply the YT channel of "His_Cifnes" :D)

I also added some playlists for each song. The first song in these playlists
is the newest one. This way one could track down progress. Time span is also documented on YT.
In general, (I atleast hope) the newest songs should sound the best.. ; )

Thank you for your interest, and always happy times playing your favourite instrument!. : )

Our music stuff is in a friends basment. That way it's not taking up
space and I don't have to sell all my mics, amp's, pedals, etc. :)

Guitar wise I cut that down years ago even when we were still playing in
the band. I have my 12 string, and my electric (custom made Jacobsen
brand), a half size 6 string for camping, and Andrea's hunter and her Uke.

okay... probably still too many guitars for a couple who can't play much
or long anymore due to various health issues.

    Hi Mike! o/

Very nicely played. I subscribed to your channel and await more.

Oh! Thank you : )) - Which one did you listen to?
Of course more will follow, but takes time of course. Lots of update releases for existing songs (adding to playlists), and of course new songs too. Got a new and nice one in the pipeline, which still needs some polishing. I suppose it'll take another week.

I'm always open for hints like "try to play this and that at minute X" or "you need to work on your precision hitting the keys" (which acutally still kills me in fast songs >_<), and the lot.
In fact I've got another new song in the pipeline, but somehow I cannot complete it without fingers slipping, which leads to an odd sound. I cannot upload that yet (even though it says first try on the first "release" of a specific song).. hmm..

Can you suggest a specific practice to become more precise?
I've also listened to a couple of your videos, and found them very composed and nicely played. - Very calm in each situation. (Even though you've got even more keys to press hehe :D)

Thank you for your time Mike! : ) - Have fun playing too. : ))
