Re: Your favorite holiday destination?
I voted Europe, because my favourite holiday destination is my home. I like locking the gates and having to deal with nobody at all for as long as my holiday lasts.

Not only hilarious, but someone would rather go to Cuba than Canada! :D

We honeymooned in Costa Rica back in 2005. It was positively lovely, and would go again.
Some people might prefer the weather..
And now that US citizens can travel to Cuba, I've actually been curious.. Cuba looks like it could be interesting, and perhaps has some interesting sites to visit.

Off to Cayo Cruz in Cuba for 8 days, next Monday. In about 105.3 hrs from now, not that I'm counting, or looking forward it. :-)

honestly, Cuban cigars (at least the ones I've had) are over-rated.

I've had cigars from Canada, and cigars from Cuba.

Also, I can go ice fishing in Canada.

Some people do actually vacation in some of those spots, although I
question the safety of the first two. Just the other day, I had a friend (of Indian descent) say that their dream vacation involves going to either Qatar or Bharain (I cannot remember which).
To each his own, I guess. I have just recently been to SoCal and there are some neat things to see (especially if you stay away from the big cities).
I might like to explore the area some more. Aside from that, the only
place on the list that I plan to visit again is Canada.

Do you normally smoke cigars, or are there cigars that you like? IMO it's like night and day.

yes, but that's a resort. you can have that type of experience in many places, i don't really think it's a geniuine cuba experience.

I used to smoke cigars a lot more than I do now. I think it's been a coupl years at least since I've had one.

Generally I'll grab a half dozen or so from the cigar shop if I'm going
up nort' for a week, but I haven't spent more than a weekend at the cottage the last couple years.
I'm more of a pipe smoker, used to live next to a pub jokingly referred
to as a "discussion salon". They sold beer, wine, tobacco, and had 2
smoking porches (and smoking was allowed inside back in the '90s.)
