On Vertrauen, did you create your QWK account for your BBS propertly? When you set up your QWK account on Vertrauen, Vertrauen should ask whether it's for QWK networking, and you should answer Yes to that.

The easiest way to check is that when you log in, if you're immediately sent to the QWK menu (and you may also have to press ? to see the menu ANSI), then you've probably set it up as a QWK account. If you're shown all the BBS's intro screens and get to the BBS's regular main menu, you've probably set it up as a non-QWK account.

Offhand I don't remember if there's a way to check for sure, or if there's even a way to chage a regular account to a QWK account. If you've set it up as a non-QWK account, you may have to set up your account again.
