hello, are there any sites that are doing bbsnews?

i tried doing it for years but nobody would contribute and it was
like a job running bbsnews.org

i'm sure it was the same for my predecessors.

i think i did a pretty good job but i got burnt out and
took everything down and bbsnews was a casualty.

facebook - which I think is a terrible outcome.

I doubt there is much to report anyway. No one wants to
contribute to Fidonews either.

it goes way back. pcmike used to run it and other people also.

I doubt there is much to report anyway. No one wants to contribute
to Fidonews either.

i'm still not a fan of fidonet or the people that are on it and keep it running.

i 'd say, as long as you link the source it should be ok. Everyone coming to your site, could still grab the rss feed and put it into their own feed reader.

Yep, that was always a struggle to make it to the first places on google. But i am not sure if it still works that way, now that everything including searching the internet is AI.

Good to bring your bbsnews.org domain to some use again!
i have to say, i did not know about it until now. But that does not mean much ;)

well i used a cms and wordpress for a while and those worked fine.
but people dont want to contribute so people stopped making an account and posting news. the people before me ran various cms systems too.
