    We successfully defeated another attack on California gun owners.

    AB 2497 would have imposed outrageous taxes on the sale of guns and
    ammunition, preventing many low-income individuals from exercising their
    Second Amendment rights.

    FPC’s Craig Deluz appeared at each and every committee hearing to express our dire opposition to the bill and our legislative team worked overtime behind
    the scenes to stop this insidious tax.

    Thankfully, our hard work paid off.

    As a result of our efforts, AB 2497 is dead for the year - unless our
    lawmakers underhandedly resurrect it towards the end of the session.
